This summer (2004), I have been blessed with the opportunity to be able to stay in the Hampton Court Palace in London, England for about 2 weeks. I have been reading and doing research on the issue of the ghosts and hauntings on the palace grounds. The most recent one and most controversial encounter has been the ghost of the opened doors. I have read up from different interviews and some say that they believe that the ghost was one of Henry VIII's wives, while others say that it's a man in a robe closing the doors. There is also the discussion of if it is a prank or not. Many believe that it is, and many are convinced that a person from that period of time has come back to their home.
What this site is for is an update of encounters I may have this summer staying in the palace. I am staying in a guest house that was originally built as a kitchen for the future king Edward and is found not too far from where this encounter happend. I am hoping that at least once during my visit, I will encounter a haunting or ghost. I will be posting day-by-day writings of what I see and or hear in the palace. I will also be having my camera with me, and my movie rolling, so that if anything comes to be, I can show the world what I encounter.
